With the advent of October we are certainly in those Autumnal climes despite the fact that the temperature is still somewhat of a warmer nature. The leaves are still clinging on tightly to their arboreal masters as we wait for the inevitable tumbling onto the Earth which of course will instigate a few sessions of leaf collections! The compost bins stand ready and it’s a pity we can’t encourage them to leap straight into these fine receptacles.
October is a month when we begin to prepare for the true change of seasons and those darker days and colder nights will soon assail us. It’s a time of reflection for us all and in these strange times we never know quite next what will follow. I’m sure though, most of us would like a bit more kindness and compassion to flow for us all.
This last month or so has seen a few people I know pass over into spirit. Two were a shock and it is the time to recall them with fondness. When you think of all the people we meet in a lifetime and the influence they’ve held on us we remember the gift. The gift is surely the fact they have imprinted themselves upon our memory and through that they live on. This month for me is also one of remembrance for my mother who passed almost three years ago. Time truly flies.
In the realm of Shiny Souls, there has been plenty of activity on the reiki front. There’s been quite a few treatments administered and courses too. It’s such a pleasure to be able to share this gift and knowledge and see those lights being switch on. It is seldom about myself but always about those who we work with. Releasing the ego is a challenge at times and more about living in harmony with that part of us.
