Take a ride

You’re on the top deck gazing out of the window. You didn’t have to queue for long and it’s a nice bright day. You’re rolling up the Old Kent Road towards Tower Bridge Road and look at the overpass heading off into the city. The bus navigates the roundabout and you’re moving along quite nicely whilst sitting down and nibbling at a packet of cheese and onion crisps. You relax and know it won’t be long before you’re at Aldgate.
Why the bus ride I hear you ask? Well, whilst it was nice to take a trip down memory lane there is more to it that just that. Look at where we all are and we can almost see the universe and our lives as a form of transport. We will all move at our own pace be it the bus of time, life, experience or just sitting in our own space. Those buses will take us to our own destination and we choose or don’t choose which ones to take.
When going back to the first paragraph it reminds me too that we don’t have to do much if we don’t wish to. The only action needed was to get to the bus stop, pay the fare and let the driver and the bus do the work. So many of us are running around looking to achieve and so forth but if we realise that we can choose where we wish to go and accept and allow the universe (or bus!) will take us to where we are aligning ourselves too then go for it.
You have your seat, now enjoy the ride.
