Tear up the plan

Wake up. Go to bathroom. Get dressed. Check on everyone. Get food and drink. Grab work material. Commute. Work. Go home. Go out to in-laws. Return home. Unwind. Go bed. Repeat.
I wonder how many of us are in this cycle of life or something similar. Many of us are quite content to follow this path of familiarity and repeating patterns. It is what is expected of us after all and this post is not about changing things for the sake of changing things. Yet, do you wonder if there is something more we can bring into our lives?
Often, this begins with those little changes in our lives and schedule. Let's take the getting dressed part. Perhaps you find you always wear the same shirt or blouse to work. How about putting one on that you don't usually wear? Maybe change the watch you are wearing. Or when you get your packed lunch, decide you will have a tub of pasta rather than the usual cheese and cucumber ones that you always eat on a Tuesday.
It is often from these small beginnings that we can then expand into bigger changes. How big they are is up to us but if we can change the energy just a little bit we then open up the possibility of escaping those patterns which can be a bit of a rut. Another possibility is to change the drive we always take every day, try a different route to our destination. Maybe when you get home you always eat dinner at 5pm, how about delaying it half an hour or bringing it forward if you can?
Do you see how we can make subtle changes? Maybe now, have a little reflection on those elements you witness in your every day life and ponder what you would like to alter (if at all). Over to you and please do comment below of your own ideas that you may wish to share.
