Who are you?

Today's thoughts emanate from a discussion I witnessed on social media. An individual put something akin to there are no Grand Masters in Reiki and it stirred up quite a reaction. I refrained from taking part as didn't want to be part of that energy but it did stimulate a thought about who we are.

Think about what we've been in our lives. Maybe it's been Joe the Presenter, Emily the Sales Rep, Bobby the homeowner, Steve the vandal, Angela the lover, Frank the bookie, Theresa the mystic and so on and so on.

We love appellations. Yet, truly when we dig deep we are all of those things and none of them. When we come into this world we are blank and not aware of much at all. There we will be the baby, the embryo until we are thrust into the world and then the labelling truly begins.

So maybe we can forget about all those little titles we give ourselves for ultimately they count for very little at the end of this life journey. Let's remember who we are. I am me and you are you, that is all :)
